A little Princess

Although I’ve heard that A little Princess is a famous fairy tale, I hadn’t read it, so I tried this book.

This is a story about a girl whose family is rich, but suddenly become poor because of her father’s failure of his business. That changes her life badly. ( This work talk about bullying) Hoyever, she is so strong that she keep going forward. I would’t be able to do it. I want to be strong like her.

This book is for children, but it’s interesting to adults. It include important ideas and serious problems that we need to be consciosus of.

The Lottery Winters

This is such a sad story because the heroine in this book is unlucky at the start and she can’t be happy in the end. The heroine, Emma, is poor, but she buys a ticket for the lottery every week. One day a not a very nice young man steals her bag where there are tickets for the lottery. A few days later she knows he wins the lottery, but the ticket is hers, so she decide to fight against him in the court. This book wasn’t so interesting to me, for I love happy ending.

The Coldest Place On Earth

When I was reading this book, I was surprised many times because this book is based on what really happened.

“The Coldest Place On Earth” is a race to get to the South Pole for the first time. The members of this journey faced a critical problem that almost led to death many times and it was like a fiction.

I recommend this book to you if you get interested in it. If you don’t want to read, please search for the Robert Falcon Scott, one of the main character in this book, and you will probably know the history of a journey to a south pole in detail.

This is New York

If you want to know New York more, I will recomend this book to you. Although the number of the pages of the book is only about 30 pages, the book teach you a lot of things :the outline, the history, the town, the Statue of Liberty and other things of New York. It is not too much to say that you can go to New York and live there with only this book. It’s also easy to understand because of its simple English. So if you have half a mind to go there, you can read this book faster with interesting.

Let me introduce some of information which I like from this book. You probably know the Statue of the Liberty, but do you know it looks towards the entrance to the harbor, which means she is welcoming immigrants to America? Here! This book was intetresting.
