Learning Russian / Day 9

I have started to learn Cyrillic alphhabet. I realized I can easily remember some words, but that there are some words not coming into my mind at all. I can easily remember Д and ё because I thought they are similar to D and e. I think it important to relate a new thing to something faniliar to me when I learn language.

Learning Russian / Day 8

I have finished a section where I learned words about words and I achieved a feeling of accomplishment. Although I learned Russian for only 5 minitues every day, I could master one chapter soon. This app make me continue learning Russian with fun and without difficulty.

Learning Russian / Day 7

I remembered some words comppletly, but I am not sure that I can pronunce them exactly because the Russian alphabet is unique: it’s Cyrillic alphabet, so I need to learn the alphabet after finishing the section where I am learning words related to food.

Learning Russian / Day 6

It was the second time to use Drops, and I learned some new words related to food and two verbs. each of the verbs consists of two words. At first I thought it meant “to verb” , but probably it didn’t. I don’t know what it is now, but it may be clear after I learn more verbs. I could understand what my teacher said: this app is the application of Noticing.

I have started Drops to learn Russian. This app is good because it consists of only words and pictures and it’s simple. it’s just fun to pronunce a new word too.

Learning Russian/ Day 4

I’m learning Russian using the app “Duolingo”. It can be used for free, but if you make a mistake, the HP reduces and when the point goes down to 0, you can’t keep playing unless you pay. I realized that making mistakes is important to learn language, so I can’t learn Russian well using this apps for free.

Learning Russian / Day 3

I feel Russian is very different from English because some of a Russian word are equal to a few English words. For example, “я” means ” I am” and “это” means “this is”. That tells me how difficult learning another language is.

Learning Russian / Day 2

I can’t pronunce most of the Russian words from the text because there are many alphabets that I don’t know. However, I realised this is not so bad because I found that I was learning the Russian words by ear. I have heard learning by ear is the best way of learning language because a baby learns his native language by ear.

Duolingo 1

I have started to learn Russian. In detail, I learned about three simple words and basic grammar such as “this is …” and ” … is there”. What was difficult to me was learning spellings because there are some of alphabet I don’t know. Anyway I’ll keep Duolingo.
